In choosing their vehicle, men usually go for the pick-up truck type. However different individuals will have different preferences depending on their preferred styles, specs as well as brands. Things changed though when Chrysler started to release their 1500 series of Dodge Ram Truck. This automobile model eventually made it on the top list of sales among the different trucks offered by Chrysler.

When it comes to buyer preference and preferences its not a “one size fits all” but rather a rationale of “different strokes for different folks”. It depends on auto buyers’ preferences & needs – or in this case truck buyers and purchasers – what their individual needs and preferences are. Some of the time it’s the role that the vehicle is going to perform , sometimes it’s the size and specifics of the family and even pets , other times its options available or cosmetic choices , and yet in other cases options available on the model as well as dealer support , reputation , service or alternatively auto financing.

A fresh point of view has been the debut of the well known truck line of Chrysler / Dodge with the Dodge Ram truck line-up. Dodge Ram trucks not only provide reliability durability with smooth car like rides and handling yet offer a whole set of options and creature comforts that not long ago you would only expect in luxury cars. Include in these not only power steering, brakes and other conveniences of modern driving but also air conditioning, cruise control and the modern electronics that “kids love” with an ultra highly sophisticated high tech yet easy to use “MyGig” entertainment center complete with a 30 gig hard drive storage media center which makes it easy to store and play media files, DVDs and photos. The unit combines voice activation and touch screen sensitivity. Add in the combined GPS navigation unit, a satellite radio along with hands-free communication and any and all drivers can both navigate to their destination while being entertained in the best fashion – all with ease and convenience.

The eight foot length is used in the “Regular Cab” body styling,” Quad Cab” runs six feet four inches, and finally “Crew Cab and cabs will give your five feet seven inches. Your choice or choices all depends on your personal preferences and requirements. The story has been told and retold of the lottery winner who came into a Dodge truck dealership and asked the salesperson about color choices available for Dodge Ram models. Apparently he was referring to the showroom luxury display model. The young salesperson took out the Chrysler color brochure and carefully detailed the color choices available. The excited buyer announced to him “Good. I will take one of each”. Another satisfied Dodge Ram truck buyer – or in this case sets of owners and drivers hit the road.

The first-generation Ram trucks & vans introduced in 1981 were named for the Ram hood ornament that first appeared on Dodge vehicles in 1933. Dodge kept the previous generation’s model designations: “D”, “B” or Ram indicated two-wheel drive while the “W” or Power Ram indicated four-wheel drive.
